FESTIVAL OF PRINT
I’m delighted to be taking part in East London Printmakers annual exhibition of print. This year marks a quarter-century of the artist run studio in East London and there are over 90 artists exhibiting. I’ll be showing 2 prints from my “Whorl” series and will also be part of the East London Printmakers Box Set display. The ELP Boxset is an annual project where participating artists each make a limited edition of 30 x 30 cm prints which are then distributed in specially printed boxes. Producing an edition of 50 prints was a real challenge for me as most of my work consists of one-off monotype prints but it was a fantastic experience and the box-filling evening at ELP studios was great fun! One set of prints is donated to the V&A while another is presented to John Purcell, who generously subsidises the paper. The remaining prints are used for promotional purposes and sold at exhibitions, raising money for ELP.
