Inflorescence

An inflorescence is the botanical name given to the arrangement of flowers on a plant. There are quite a lot of different types of inflorescence and these Fatsia Japonica or Japanese Aralia flowers are more specifically umbels as they look like umbrella or parasol ribs. I like to use the cyanotype process for these as it so clearly describes the structure of the flowers, each one is like a little diagram or blueprint of the inflorescence.
