Lesley’s work is inspired by the environment around her, finding beauty in simple botanical structures and forms, as here in the radial structure of the horsetail plant. Working directly with the plants themselves each print is a unique and perfect impression of the whorled branch form. Part of an ongoing series of botanical monotypes on Fabriano paper made with horsetail or equisetum plants.
